Whale Polished Copper Weathervane.
Throughout the Australian summer whales feed on fish, squid and plankton in the antarctic feeding grounds.
From early May to late November Humpback whales travel thousands of kilometres along the East Coast of Australia.
They travel north from their summer feeding ground to their winter breeding ground. People flock to the eastern seaboard of Australia to witness one of the longest whale migrations in the world.
About 20,ooo Humpback whales pass along this route each year. There are two sizes of the Whale Weathervane available. This is the Medium sized one.
The size, shape and bulk of the whale it is excellent at catching the wind. This ensures that it always faces into the direction that the wind is coming from.

Attachment Bracket
There is an attaching bracket available. Made of three aluminium castings. It comes complete with stainless steel grub screws and attaching screws. The bracket is available for $57.50. There is no additional postage if ordered with the weathervane.
