It has a 2” centre globe (representing the Earth or the Sun). The sturdy base is 9 inches diameter (so it is solid and balanced). The rings 14inches in diameter are for figuring the Latitude and Longitude pathways. The height from base to top of rings is a generous 21.5 inches
